Out-Patients Department
The Hospital has a very busy Out-Patients Department. On average, 1000 patients visit OPD every day from all over the country. They have respiratory symptoms and come either for diagnosis of their disease or for treatment.
Emergency patients are immediately referred for admission and treatment. All kinds of patients of TB (TB of lungs and other parts of body) and other chest diseases are diagnosed, treated and managed accordingly. Routine cases who need admission are admitted and others prescribed treatment. The new achievement is the establishment of DOTS Unit, where TB patients are diagnosed and treated free of cost according to WHO guidelines. Follow up of patients, discharged from wards is also done in OPD where patients are provided drugs free of charge for a total period of 06 months in accordance with WHO guidelines.
